Really fun music video for Cubesato song Le Petite Prince by Takuya Hosogane. Do love some low poly and geometric imagery. Really love the square format on this as well.

God, I love watching Haslam skate.

Morning Light
January 21, 2010 | In Output, PhotographyA couple new shots from around the house in december. I’m pretty much fascinated with how the light plays off the blinds and these white plastic chairs I have here. Bounce, reflect, glow. Check the rest out on the flickr.
Empty LA
January 21, 2010 | In Inspiration, PhotographyTake a minute to browse through these amazing photographic composites (I assume they are composites) by Matt Logue.

January 20, 2010 | In Event, PhotographyIf you read the previous blog, you know last year I found Patrick Tsai and Coley Brown’s Growing Up Zine and love their stuff. They have some really nice photos. Makes me want to drop the 5D and keep the 35mm around my neck every time they post stuff.
Friday at Space 1520 in Hollywood. Looks like a really good photo show. I’ll definitely be there. Come say hi. I’ll be the guy who likes the photos and had nothing to do with creating them.
Max Springer
January 17, 2010 | In Art, Friends, InspirationAnother amazing source for beautiful images and ideas, my old friend Max Springer who I worked with here in LA for a time before he left to pursue fine art and hang out in rural NY. I don’t see him anymore being so far away, but every time he posts things to his flickr I am in awe. Such amazing stuff.
Really beautiful and thoughtful work.

Best Coast
January 15, 2010 | In Film, Music, VideoBest Coast. Lofi 60′s styled Pop Americana. So lovely. This is not the video of the song but an excerpt from Un Homme Et Une Femme by Claude Lelouche (1966). I’ve not seen the film but it looks like it’s a least beautifully shot. The wikipedia page says that LeLouche had a background in commercial photography and so had a really pleasing aesthetic around the lens. Really nice stuff.
These girls are playing in LA in february. I assure you I will be there.
I thought of you*
