The Right Fish

March 31, 2010 | In Design, Environment

So we’re still overfishing the oceans. And people have become more aware of asking where their food comes from how it’s raised and whether its organic or local or grain fed or whatever, but knowing just what types of fish are more sustainable is a bit harder.

At least for me I know this is an issue and I’ve maybe only once or twice ever asked someone at a restaraunt if they know where their fish comes from.

BUT! Good put out this handy infograpic designed by Always With Honor using data from the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Study up. Know your fishes and eat well.

Mash Austin with Lance

March 29, 2010 | In Cycling, Inspiration, Video

Scouring through some old MASH videos on vimeo I found this ride in Austin from March 2008. Dudes are blazing around the city. It looks so fun. Then Mr. Armstrong himself shows up around 2:15. And they all pedal around carefree as children. How fun is that?

My Legs Are Tall Twin Towers

Really good performance last night by The Sandwitches opening up for Thee Oh Sees (who had TONS of energy). I thought we might be elbowed in the face by the lead guy. Good Show. I gotta start bringing my camera around to these. What in the world am I doing without it?

hahaha.

Betty Adams – Make it Real (Ride On)

Somebody told me lightnin’ don’t strike the same place twice
That may be true but somehow it don’t seem right
I saw you last night and I saw you today
And each time baby you make me feel the same way

Jake Davis Test Shots

March 22, 2010 | In Film, Inspiration, Photography, Video

NY Filmmaker Jake Davis test shots. Second video is apparently the guy who runs The Impossible Cool. How is it everything cool is so related?

I’m not positive what camera it’s shot on, but judging that the source is 1280×720 and it’s 60fps, I’m just gonna go out on a limb and say its the 7D. Anybody knows for sure I’d love to hear… Jake is not responding to the comments about camera on vimeo.

Seen it on Yimmy’s Yayo.

I think this is an advert for shoes or something.

March 21, 2010 | In Film, Inspiration, Video

Seen it over here via BLEE’s tumblr.  Pretty frickin’ stylish.  Sigg Jones? They claim specifically that’s it’s not an advert for shoes, but shoes obviously feature prominently.

Ah, life in a post Hewlett world…

I’m Here – Now Showing (Sort Of)

March 19, 2010 | In Film, Inspiration

Spike Jonze latest short I’m Here is now playing online after premiering at Sundance. I think the website is fucking with me. But as soon as it lets me, I’m watching this film…
